Our ancient ancestors lived more simply than we do. In the Jericho of 9,000 years ago, the inhabitants preserved skulls with plaster and planted them beneath their houses. I don’t know why, but I am sure it was related to their beliefs.
I wonder what the ancients thought when they gazed into the sky, or the forest, or the eyes of their loved ones. Was their consciousness purer and closer to the truth? Did they know more about reality than we do?
We have so much more knowledge now. The information at our fingertips can be tedious and annoying. What if we set aside the noise of data and deliberated on the myths and wonders and beauty of life? Would we discover something surprising? I wonder.
